lost time is never found again. this is something which i learned very clearly last semester. i spent so much time fooling around that my grades began to suffer. i finally realized that something had to be done. it was time for a change.

now i have a new plan for using my time wisely. i have set my alarm clock ahead half an hour. this will give me a head start on the day. i have also decided to keep a log of what i do and when i do it. looking back on what i ve done will give me some ideas on how to reorganize my time.

i decided to be a middle school teacher after college. there are many reasons contribute to this decision.

firstly, when i was a little boy, i have been dreaming of being a teacher. it seemed so fascinate to me and i hope i can make my dream come true.

besides, i like so much to be with middle school students. most of the students at that age are full of youthful spirity and i am sure their passion would pass to me. i will retain all the zest of adolescence.

the most important reason is that our country needs plenty of teachers. so far, teaching is considered a tough and low-income job in china. however, if we have not enough teachers, our future will lack of excellent scientist, managers, businessmen, soldiers and even goood workers and farmers. how can our country to be strong and wealthy ?

i wish my country to be a better one. i am ready to be a teacher and hope all the persons with lofty ideals may dedicate themselves to this meaningful career.

　早上好!今天我讲话的题目是《做一个文明之人》。

　记得有人说过：“人，一撇一捺，写起来容易做起来难。我们要经常性地思考，我在做什么，我做得怎样，我要成为怎样的人。”做怎样的人，一百个人会有一百种答案，但在每一个答案的背后都有一个基点，那就是做人首先要做一个文明的人。

　文明是什么?文明是路上相遇时的微笑，是同学有难时的热情帮助，是平时与人相处时的亲切，是见到师长时的问早问好，是不小心撞到对方时的一声 “对不起”，是自觉将垃圾放入垃圾箱的举动，是看到有人随地吐痰时的主动制止……文明是一种品质，文明是一种修养，文明是一种受人尊敬并被大家广泛推崇的行为。

　做文明之人，就要会用文明语，做文明事。再简单地讲就是要懂礼貌，明事理。中国素有“礼仪之邦”之称，礼貌待人是中华民族的传统美德。生活在幸福时代的我们，如果不能继承和发扬这种优良传统，就不能真正做一个快乐的人。 “良言入耳三冬暖，恶语伤人六月寒”，这句俗话大家要记住。文明礼貌是最容易做到的事，同时也是生活里最重要的事，它比最高的智慧、比一切的学问都重要。礼貌经常可以替代最珍贵的感情。
